Rich in omega-6 (linoleic acid) and 9, as well as vitamin E, Sunflower oil is regenerating, moisturizing, reduces the appearance of pores, prevents the formation of pimples, and reduces skin inflammations. It makes a good massage base due to its ease of penetration into the skin and its smooth texture. It can be found naturally in many skincare formulas (balms, creams, etc.) for the face, eye contour, body, and hair, where it moisturizes, strengthens, and revitalizes. In soap making, it produces a very mild but relatively soft soap with little lather and can go rancid if used in concentrations exceeding 30%.
