Tonic, uterotonic, neurotonic, antiseptic, antiparasitic, intestinal flora rebalancer, analgesic, carminative and stomachic, Nutmeg essential oil is rich in sabinene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, gamma-terpinene, limonene, beta-pinene and myristicin, safrole and elemicin. It is widely used in cooking for its spicy, woody aroma with notes of hazelnut (cocktails, chocolate, sweet and savory dishes, infusions) or for its woody, spicy, peppery, warm and sweet fragrance, which blends exceptionally well with citrus, coriander, geranium, laurel, lavandin, petitgrain and clary sage. When diffused, it helps create a warm atmosphere, and in energetic aromatherapy, it helps people who are impatient, nervous or anxious.
