Essential oil Bourbon geranium (Madagascar)

Composed similarly to the essential oil of Rose Geranium with citronellol, geraniol, linalool, citronellyl formate and isomenthone in different proportions. Although it contains no 10-epi-gamma-eudesmol, it does contain rose oxide.The cosmetic and well-being properties of the two geraniums are similar (only rose geranium is insect repellent), but their fragrances differ greatly: highly appreciated in cooking and perfumery, Bourbon geranium’s fragrance is soft, flowery, sweet and pink. In energetic aromatherapy, it is the oil that refocuses and regulates.
